Stafford Castle is once again being invaded by a Viking Horde! The Vikings are setting up camp for the weekend with a rival Saxon camp in the woodland, with both sides ready to blow their horns, march up to the Inner Bailey and battle in two epic displays each day! This year we have all you could want with talks, demonstrations (such as weaving and weapon usage), arms and armour displays, cooking, ‘Have-a-go’ Javelin, ‘Kiddie-Vike’ and Viking games such as Kubb and Nine Men’s Morris! This alongside the usual fantastic axe-throwing, archery, coin minting, face painting, birds of prey and our tasty food stalls. Everyone can look the part by visiting the wound painting stall to make yourself look fearsome or perhaps more friendly by visiting our face painting stall."
